Eamon, Dave and Ricky, otherwise known as The Ruskins, have gone from strength to strength since appearing on the scene in 2007. From jamming at home on Isleworth's Worton Estate in West London to whipping the crowd into a stage-invasion frenzy at London's legendary Islington Academy.
These lads are making waves and drawing kudos from the likes of BBC's Huw Stevens, XFM's Steve Harris, NME and the The Sunday Times . Hardly surprising, really, when you hear their catchy, ska-infused take on modern rock inspired by the likes of Kings of Leon, The Cribs, Johnny Cash and The Streets. In a scene that's saturated with generic indie-pop bands trying to be "the next hot shit," The Ruskins are a band that dare to differ.
Their debut single 'Slow Down Jessica' was recently chosen by Steve Lamacq as his 'Demo of the Week' on BBC Radio 1 where he paid tribute to lead singer Eamon's lyrical prowess. This cheeky, charming trio are gonna go far and are definitely ones to watch for 2009.
